ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:
1. Gather the necessary information to properly market new and renewal business
2. Analyze carriers and provide options to customers and prospects to help them formulate a benefits program that meets their eneds
3. Conduct in person client presentations
4. Effect changes in coverage as requested and needed by customer.
5. Prepare and coordinate announcement material for enrollment process for sold or transferred business.
6. Work with carrier representative to coordinate activity for a smooth implementation of new plans.
7. Perform periodic service calls on all accounts to make sure the plan in place continues to meet goals
8. Maintain awareness of new developments or changes with the various carriers and new Federal/State laws that may affect how our clients must administer their benefit programs, and communicate this information to clients and team members.
9. Develop and maintain a positive relationship and rapport with each insurance carrier to satisfy our clients' needs and facilitate the processing of business.
10. Assist in preparation of open enrollment materials: rate matrixes, employee handbook, employee communication, & appropriate change / enrollment forms.
11. Perform your job in such a manner that other employees will consider it a pleasure and privilege to work with you.
Qualifications and Requirements:
o Maintain an in force State of California agent's license in Health and Life.
o ACA Certification
o Possess excellent verbal and written communications skills
o Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint
o Strong organizational skills, high attention to detail, responsive and self-motivated.
o Team player and task oriented

Prior benefits sales experience is a plus but not required if you have 3+ years in benefits account management or marketing.
Assist customers in building a benefits program that meets their company's specific needs.
Help keep customers informed about compliance with ACA regulations
Be an integral part of the team to fulfill our promise of providing high quality service. Listen to customers and team members to identify needs and find solutions that meet those specific needs.
Generate new business through networking, cold calling, and other marketing programs.
Maintain a high retention ratio by providing excellent service and frequent communication with customers new and old.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
